YCC – Bitola take this opportunity to invite you to take part in international conference “Innovative models for recognition of non-formal education in the youth sector” taking place 13 – 16 October 2010 in Bitola, Republic of Macedonia. The conference is organized with the support of East-East: Partnership beyond Borders Program, Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia.
Project summary
The conference “Innovative models for recognition of non-formal education in the youth sector” is organized in cooperation between Youth Cultural Center Bitola and South East European Youth Network (SEEYN).
Objectives:
1. To initiate exchange of good practices and experiences (sharing the innovative models) among conference participants in order to develop the mechanisms for recognition of non-formal education in the youth sector.
2. To analyze different measures for recognition of NFE in different European countries, various approaches in legislation and common European strategies and policies.
3. To empower participants to multiply effects of this conference in their organizations and raise their competences to organize and implement activities for recognition of non-formal education in the youth sector.
4. To encourage future cooperation between participants and their organizations.
The conference will gather 30 participants from youth organizations from: Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia and Estonia, mainly young people involved in various forms of non-formal education programs. We expect 2 participants per each partner organizations, one to be nominated from the host organization (YCC-Bitola) and one to be recommended from the East East: Partnership Beyond Borders Program Coordinator in respective countries. Participants should be involved in work of their organization as trainers, NFE program designers and managers, project or activity coordinators, volunteers, active members, leaders, promoters or board members.
Travel costs of participants will be covered by local office of East East programme (where available) or by YCC-Bitola. Costs for local transport, food, accommodation, refreshments and materials for the Conference will be covered by organizer YCC-Bitola.
